DR. MILES NEALE LETTER OF INVITATION
DR. MILES NEALE LETTER OF INVITATION..
Contemplative Journey to the Sacred Sites of Peru
Namaste Friends,
Please join us on a contemplative journey to the sacred sites of Peru. This is a unique opportunity to combine world travel, spiritual practice and social-engagement. Our destinations include the old Inca capital of Cusco and the Inca's Sacred Valley, and culminate in the wonder-of-the-world sanctuary of Matchu Picchu. Along the way we will meet with local peoples, dialogue with shamans about their ancestral wisdom and engage in a social service project to build lasting ties with the indigenous community.
The core of our sojourn involves contemplative practice facilitated by daily, guided meditations, yoga and spiritual teachings conducted in and around sites of mystical power and unimaginable landscapes. Emily Wolf, Ph.D. candidate is a psychotherapist and certified yoga instructor will lead our daily yoga practice. My aim is to teach the Buddhist art and
science of inner peace and happiness, while we engage in culturally conscious, mutually enriching and sustainable foreign travel. The trip is suitable for all levels of practitioner, from beginners eager to start a meditation practice to those seasoned yogis looking to expand their horizons and put their yoga into action.
The trip is organized by Dr. Hune Margulies, the Director of the Community Development Partners for Americas (CDPA). Dr. Margulies has organized community and economic
development projects and led tours to indigenous and rural areas of Latin America for study, cultural, solidarity and ecological purposes for over 20 years. Dr. Margulies has kindly invited me to lead the contemplative portion of our journey, while he manages logistics. His sensitivity to cultural preservation and social justice throughout the region coupled with his
expertise in tour operations were the reasons I agreed to lead this tour. Together I am confident we can provide an unforgettable journey.
As part of our sustainable travel, a portion of the proceeds from the excursion will go towards much needed supplies and labor for the service project that we will assist with while in Peru.
